Middle School Day

See also the middle–school curriculum. Our class schedule is as follows:

Opening assembly 8:30⁠–⁠8:45Memorize scripture and hymns
Logic 8:45–9:45Students will study fallacies and informal logic
Omnibus: Biblical and Classical Civilizations 9:45–11Students will read and discuss various books as part of the Veritas Omnibus curriculum. The classroom time will primarily be discussion of the readings together with some presentations and debate. This will require homework during the week, though it will not be extensive. The student will be expected to read the portions of the book assigned and do a homework assignment that could be a short essay, answering questions, preparation for debate, composition of poetry, etc. Parents can expand on this by assigning more work if desired.
Chapel 11–11:45Singing and teaching; open to outside participation
Lunch 11:45–12:30Food and fellowship; open to outside participation
Science in the Atomic Age 12:30–1:30This is a lab-based course
Choir 1:30⁠–⁠2:30Students will participate in choral training and practice.
